Seam Attendant

Working alongside a high profile and prestigious team, The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a Seam Attendant to join our Rooms division team to achieve the company’s objectives and create a memorable guest experience.

Key Accountabilities:

• Monitor and report all uniform/ linen abuse to Laundry/Valet Manager. 
• Perform all minor mending and alterations to guest garments. 
• Perform all mending and alterations to colleague uniforms. 
• Keep abreast of uniform pars and inform Laundry/Valet Manager. 
• Maintain par stock of supplies. 
• Assistant laundry operators when need arises.
• Keep work area clean.
• Maintain professional personality at all times.

General Requirements:

• Strong understanding of hotel uniforms and linens
• Working knowledge of intense detailed cleaning
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and in a fast pace environment
• Good understanding of housekeeping related equipment and supplies
• Being able to follow proper job-related guidance
