Director of Housekeeping

The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a strong Director to join our Housekeeping Management team and be the strategic leader in providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Accountabilities:

• Oversee proper operation of all sub-departments of Housekeeping operations.
• Ensure consistency in staff performance in accordance with both Peninsula and Forbes standards.
• Must achieve maximum efficiency and productivity for the hotel.
• Manage the public areas, as well as building exterior by utilizing all housekeeping staff including but is not limited to impeccable cleanliness of all areas outside of guestroom tower at all times.
• Provide reference and feedback for all departments.
• Ensure the Housekeeping team is knowledgeable and fully adheres to standards.
• Enforce VIP designation procedure in accordance with corporate standards.
• Ensure efficient operation of the Housekeeping department.

General Requirements:

• 5 years of Rooms Housekeeping Management experience
• Knowledge of PMS/Opera and some knowledge in Front Office department 
• Ability to deal with a high level of work demand and pressure, individual must have great organization skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
