Assistant Director of Sales
Working alongside a wonderful team at The Peninsula Bangkok, we are seeking an Assistant Director of Sales with strong expertise in the travel trade and wholesale segment, and a genuine passion for driving business through key distribution channels.
Responsibilities
- Supports the development and execution of the annual Marketing & Sales Plan, with a focus on travel trade, wholesale, and key account strategies.
- Actively contributes to achieving Sales & Marketing targets by strengthening partnerships with travel agents, wholesalers, tour operators, and global distribution partners.
- Develops, maintains, and expands a robust database of travel trade and wholesale accounts, identifying new business opportunities across domestic and international markets.
- Manages and conducts site inspections, familiarization trips, and client entertainment to showcase the hotel’s unique offerings to trade partners.
- Monitors market trends, competitor activities, and shifts in travel distribution channels. Works closely with the Director of Sales / Director of Sales & Marketing to implement proactive sales initiatives in response to market, political, or economic changes.
- Maximizes up‑selling and cross‑selling opportunities across all travel trade and wholesale accounts.
- Closely tracks account performance, revenue contribution, and production trends for both new and existing partners to ensure optimal business growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in hospitality, business, or hotel management.
- Strong experience in travel trade, wholesale, or distribution sales within the hospitality industry.
- Proven business development and sourcing capabilities, with the ability to build and sustain long‑term partnerships.
- Confident, persuasive communicator with excellent presentation skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
