We're excited to announce an opening for an Assistant Director of Brand Marketing and Communications at The Peninsula Bangkok. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join our exceptional team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing integrated marketing strategies for our Food and Beverage, Spa, Rooms, Events, and Catering departments. This role is key to enhancing the brand's visibility and reputation for our prestigious five-star property, located on the picturesque banks of the Chao Phraya River.

Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement the communications strategy for the hotel’s F&B, Spa, Events, Catering, and Rooms in collaboration with the Director of Brand Marketing & Communications.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and conduct analyses to align PR strategies with both digital and offline business objectives.
- Lead regular Marketing team meetings and provide strategic direction and coaching to junior team members.
- Serve as acting department lead in the absence of the Director of Brand Marketing & Communications.
- Act as the primary liaison for local and international media, brand PR agencies, maintaining strong relationships with press contacts.
- Identified and developed strategic brand partnerships to drive awareness joint promotions, co-branded initiatives, and collaborative events.
- Identify opportunities for media exposure through events, promotions, and story angles; develop timely media pitches to support brand visibility.
- Coordinate all press visits, including logistics, in-house arrangements, hosting, and follow-upon resulting coverage.
- Track and assess media results, manage the press database, and distribute clippings to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Oversee and coordinate hotel photoshoots and filming projects, ensuring alignment with brand standards and minimal operational disruption.
- Uphold the hotel’s photography, filming, and tone of voice guidelines, ensuring all visual assets meet brand quality standards.
- Manage the hotel’s image library and photo release forms.
- Assist in the development, proofreading, and production of brochures, flyers, newsletters, and promotional materials in both Thai and English.
- Stay updated on print and digital production techniques; liaise with graphic agencies to ensure quality deliverables.
- Maintain and update the hotel’s online press room with relevant, search-optimized content.
- Support joint promotions, cross-functional marketing opportunities, and the ideation and execution of campaigns to attract target audiences and media interest.
- Collaborate closely with the Digital team to align PR activities with digital and e-commerce strategies, including content and photo asset coordination.
General Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in communication arts, Arts, or Liberal Arts.
- Excellent understanding of the local media landscape and familiarity with key regional media profiles in feeder markets like North America, Europe, Hong Kong, and China.
- A well-rounded individual with a strong grasp of current city events and lifestyle trends.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both local and international media, business partners, colleagues.
