Manager, Strategic Sourcing
We are looking for a Manager, Strategic Sourcing (6-month contract) to build and strengthen our sourcing capability across lifestyle and other categories as assigned, with a focus on new product development and selected strategic ranges.
Reporting to Director of Product and Innovation, you will immediately play a key role in enhancing sourcing capability, improving bargaining power, and ensuring we can consistently deliver innovative, high-quality, and cost-effective product solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and optimize the current sourcing network to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Build and expand a robust supplier base to strengthen sourcing capability and competitiveness
- Source and identify suppliers to fulfill specific client product requirements, ensuring alignment on quality, cost, and timelines
- Lead sourcing for new product development and selected strategic product ranges
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies across lifestyle and other assigned categories
- Drive cost optimization through effective sourcing approaches and strong commercial negotiations
- Establish and manage strategic supplier partnerships to enable long-term value creation and innovation
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to translate business and client needs into sourcing strategies and product solutions
- Monitor supplier performance and continuously improve sourcing outcomes, quality, and efficiency
- Stay informed on market trends, product developments, and supplier landscape to identify opportunities
Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience in strategic sourcing, product sourcing, or category management, with a strong track record in non-transactional sourcing roles
- In-depth knowledge of supplier landscapes in China and other key global sourcing markets, with an established regional network
- Proven experience in new product development sourcing and/or sourcing based on client or business-driven requirements
- Demonstrated success in building and expanding supplier networks, including identifying and onboarding new suppliers across categories
- Strong experience in commercial negotiation and cost optimization, with the ability to deliver measurable value
- Well-established network of global suppliers, with strong market knowledge across lifestyle and related product categories
- Solid understanding of international sourcing markets, supplier capabilities, and cost structures
- Experience working in trading, sourcing offices, retail, or multi-category environments is highly preferred
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical mindset, and ability to translate business needs into sourcing strategies
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Proficiency in MS Office
- This is a 6-month contract role, with the possibility of renewal based on operational needs.
