SVP, Brand Strategy & Communications
As The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels (HSH) continues to transform and elevate the global stature of The Peninsula brand, we are seeking an accomplished and seasoned Senior Vice President, Brand Strategy & Communications to serve as the global steward of The Peninsula legacy. You will define, articulate and govern the long term strategic direction, narrative and expression across markets, touchpoints and audiences, ensuring the brand’s heritage, values and ambition are translated into clear storytelling and distinctive, elevated experiences.
- Shape the next chapter of an iconic luxury brand, balancing heritage with cultural relevance
- Act as Group brand authority across strategy, communications, creative, guest experience, partnerships, events and merchandise
- Lead with enterprise wide influence across markets and functions, in close partnership with senior leadership
Key accountabilities
- Define and evolve the Group’s brand strategy, positioning and narrative across the portfolio
- Own brand architecture, segmentation and value propositions across hotels, experiences, retail and adjacent businesses
- Lead major brand refresh, evolution or repositioning initiatives, acting as final authority on strategic brand decisions at Group level
- Set and oversee the global brand communications strategy, spanning brand, PR, reputation and executive messaging, excluding corporate communications
- Ensure clarity and consistency of messaging across markets and channels, partnering with senior stakeholders on complex communications and brand matters
- Define global creative direction across visual and verbal identity, and establish standards and governance frameworks that safeguard quality and coherence
- Translate brand strategy into guest experience principles and signature moments, guiding journeys across hotels, F&B, wellness, retail and Peninsula owned experiences
- Lead strategy and governance for global partnerships, sponsorships, Peninsula led events and merchandise, ensuring each strengthens long term brand equity and relevance
General requirements
- Minimum 15 years’ leadership experience in brand strategy, communications or related roles within luxury hospitality, premium lifestyle brands or cultural institutions
- Proven track record evolving heritage brands at global scale
- Experience operating at executive or board level within complex, multi market organisations
- Strong narrative, communication and aesthetic leadership
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across functions
- A considered, culturally attuned and credible leadership style, aligned with Peninsula values
