Group General Manager, Group Finance
The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels (owner and operator of The Peninsula Hotels, The Repulse Bay and other high-profile assets) is seeking to hire a Group General Manager, Group Finance to lead and oversee statutory reporting, tax, and accounting operations for the HSH Corporate Office and related entities.

Key Accountabilities
- Lead the Group Finance team in ensuring the integrity of statutory financial records, management accounts and financial statements of HSH and its group entities.
- Keep abreast of new developments in the Listing Rules and International Financial Reporting Standards Highlight the financial and disclosure implications of such changes to senior management.
- Oversee the month-end process, including monitoring financial consolidation and reviewing the Group’s monthly report. Provide strategic guidelines and support to Directors of Finance of the operations to ensure statutory compliance.
- Oversee the Head Office accounting and budgetary control functions, ensuring proper controls for compliance with procurement procedures and expense claim policies.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of comprehensive financial reports to the CFO and senior management, providing strategic insights and recommendations.
- Optimise tax strategies to enhance the Group’s financial performance and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Lead the continuous efficient improvement program of the Finance functions.
- Drive the implementation of Enterprise Performance Management Systems at Head Office, including but not limited to Business Intelligence dashboards, forecasting and budgeting for the Group
General requirements
- Degree holder in accounting with very strong understanding of taxation
- Minimum 20 years’ experience in a Group Finance or Accounting (must have extensive taxation and listco experience)
- Exposure to the property, hospitality or retail sector
- Fluent English proficiency and Cantonese
- Innate leadership and coaching ability - must have overseen a similar division for a large listco previously.
- Experience working in Asia (Hong Kong preferred)
