Talent Acquisition Manager, USA

The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels (owner and operator of The Peninsula Hotels as well as various high-profile global assets) is seeking to hire a Talent Acquisition Manager, USA to support the expansion and continued development of the center of excellence. The critical objective for this position is to support the transformation of the North American TA function through the enablement of employer branding, candidate experience, technology and industry partnership as well as champion best practice sourcing and selection for key positions for our operations in Chicago, New York, Beverly Hills and Monterey. This position will report to the global TA leader in Hong Kong.

Key accountabilities

  • Oversee the pre and post selection processes for key leadership positions to ensure the delivery of memorable and genuine candidate experiences.
  • Support the development and implementation employer branding initiatives (online and offline) to engage and attract high caliber talent within the luxury hospitality, retail, and services sectors.
  • Identify and pilot branding / attraction channels and tools (specifically digital sourcing technologies) to ensure The Peninsula Hotels and Quail Lodge  are represented within the respective employment markets. 
  • Support the development of an early careers framework, in particular, partnering with leading universities and vocational schools.
  • Cultivate relationships with industry partners and institutions to support talent pipelining.
  • Manage the enhancement of the ATS / system reporting to enable efficiency and performance deliverables as well as the ongoing delivery of user training.
  • Oversee the enhancement of the candidate care program.
  • Advise senior hiring managers to ensure best practices and market intelligence is cultivated across the portfolio.
  • Identify talent and skill gaps, ensuring HR and hiring teams are equipped with proactive sourcing methodologies and tools.
  • Support the U.S implementation of global TA COE initiatives as well as adding accreditive value and input to the function.

 

 

General requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Talent Acquisition Lead in the luxury, tourism, retail, or services sectors. Exposure to headhunting methodologies is highly advantageous.
  • Regional or country leadership experience. 
  • Interpersonal, influencing skills and leadership qualities.
  • Possess a performance, continuous improvement and a high curiosity mindset.
  • Sales & marketing experience (branding, digital programming, sales pipelining etc). 
  • Experience / exposure to digital channel management, content creation and technology is highly sought.
  • Fluent English proficiency.
  • Exceptional personal presentation as this role will be a brand ambassador. 
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications, e.g. Word, Excel, OneNote.
  • In-depth experience utilising an ATS (SuccessFactors, Workday, PageUp, or similar)
