Contract and Cost Control Manager

 

Working alongside a professional team in the Group’s Head Office based in Hong Kong, we are seeking for a Contract and Cost Control Manager to join the Projects Group Department. This role will advise on cost and contract matters and ensure the time delivery and quality for the Group’s projects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist and lead the pre-qualification of tendering companies including consultants, contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers to be appointed for the various projects
  • Provide cost and contractual advice in the appointment of Consultants including preparation of Requests for Proposal, analysis, assessment and recommendation in conjunction with the project team
  • Assist with the drafting and review contract conditions and arrangements for consultants, contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers, including coordinating with company in-house legal department to minimise exposure to contractual risks
  • Provide cost and contractual advice in procurement of FF&E and / or client-supplied materials including preparation of tenders, analysis, assessment and recommendation in conjunction with the project team
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed cost plans and payment schedules; co-ordinate with all company in-house departments and prepare consolidated cost reports for budgetary development, cost control, cash flow, and handle the close of all contracts and final accounts

General requirements

  • Degree in quantity surveying
  • Members of RICS and / or HKIS
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in quantity surveying, experience in commercial property and hotel project is essential
  • Well-organized and able to work independently
  • Effective communication skill and a good team player
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Occasional travel is required
