Manager, Commercial Leasing

The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels (owner and operator of The Peninsula Hotels and many high-profile assets globally) is seeking to hire a Manager of Commercial Leasing to support the strategic repositioning and value creation at The Peak Tower, St John’s Building and The Repulse Bay Complex in Hong Kong.

In this newly created role and team expansion, you will report to the Director of Commercial Leasing with the primary objective to support the creation and implementation of a repositioning plan that ensures the assets are able to outperform market conditions, meet customer requirements as well as maximize rental income and occupancy.

Key accountabilities :

  • Support the implementation of strategic leasing plans to improve tenancy mix, maximize income and overall ensure asset commercial metrics are achieved.
  • Review and prepare financial modeling, leasing budgets and revenue projections.
  • Support the management of the leasing function including formulating and implementing end-to-end leasing strategy. 
  • Source & develop pipe-line interest based on the strategic leasing plan. 
  • Negotiate and execute new deals and renewals with tenancies.
  • Provide commercial insights to direct prospective tenants on concept creation, store planning, fit-out and operational planning to ensure smooth tenancy move in and operations.
  • Support the Director to review and align leasing contract workflows for the assets
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure leases are completed in timely manner with estate matters resolved promptly.
  • Conduct market research and data analysis to identify business opportunities, review the portfolio and financials for opportunities to upgrade tenancy and rental terms.
  • Support the Director to prepare an asset enhancement plan and repositioning exercise for TPT and TRB.


General Requirements:

  • Higher Diploma or above in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in leasing with 4-5 years in sourcing and negotiating with tenants    
  • Ability to be self-motivated, independent with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, always take initiative and make decisions to deliver results.  
  • Fluent language proficiency in English and Cantonese.
