Senior Manager, Operations Finance

Business Unit:  Head Office
Location:  Hong Kong

Working alongside a professional team in the Group’s Head Office based in Hong Kong, we are seeking for a Senior Manager, Operations Finance to join the team.  This role will report to the General Manager, Finance Systems and Operations Finance and will be responsible for driving standardisation, simplification and automation of key finance and operational processes, leading the change management aspects of global finance system and other finance projects, and promoting best practices adoption and process efficiencies improvements across the finance organisation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Analyse user requirements and benchmark against best practices for the configuration of the Global Finance Systems (GFS)
  • Drive the change management workstream of GFS in collaboration with finance systems team
  • Act as the group subject matter expert in planning and delivery of groupwide finance projects including but not limited to property management system (finance workstream), procurement system and fixed assets tracking system 
  • Develop and maintain group accounting policies & procedures and follow through the communication plan
  • Develop and maintain a corporate framework to promote adoption of best practices and continuous improvement in process efficiencies across the finance organisation
  • Provide training and guidance on group accounting policies & finance operational procedures to the finance organisation including the new hotels
  • Support operations finance team in analytical work and other ad-hoc projects as assigned


General requirements

  • Degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related disciplines.  Candidates with CPA and/or CFA qualifications strongly preferred
  • At least 10 years’ experience, of which 5 years’ experience in the leadership role of the hospitality industry, preferably in the role of Director of Finance or Assistant Director of Finance
  • Solid track record of leading business process improvement and/or transformation projects  
  • Expert knowledge of hotel operating procedures and systems including hotel finance system, procurement system, fixed assets management and tracking system, property management system, point of sales system
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with executive presence and ability to maintain effective relationship with different stakeholders 
  • Being a “Change agent”, team player, trusted business partner, problem solver with result-oriented mind-set 
  • Strong spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software skills
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English
