Director, Technology Partner

The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, owner and operator of The Peninsula Hotels, The Repulse Bay, and many high-profile assets globally, is currently seeking a high-calibre professional to join as a Director, Technology Partner. This position will provide technology leadership in close collaboration with department heads and their teams. The primary focus will be on enhancing and innovating the guest journey alongside our key initiatives and supporting projects. This role encompasses project ideation, initial scoping and analysis, and the oversight of delivery.

The successful individual will be based in Hong Kong.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic alignment, establish, and implement a corresponding IT strategy and project pipeline in support of business functions and company goals.
  • Enhance the guest journey by leading cross-departmental processes that impact guest satisfaction and business results and innovate the guest experience.
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with various departments, at both Corporate and Operational levels, to identify and support their technology needs.
  • Work closely with IT solutions, security, PMO, and services teams to ensure scalable, timely and secure technology implementations.
  • Lead and advance a high-performing team through clear goal setting and tracking, training, and development plans.
  • Collaborate with vendors on system design and enhancements and manage RFP processes.
  • Influence key applications such as PMS, Central Systems, Web Booking Engine, and Revenue Management systems.


Requirements:

  • University degree holder in information technology, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 14 years of relevant working experience in a regional or global capacity.
  • Previous experience in a sizable corporation; hospitality experience will be an advantage.
  • Efficient communicator with excellent presenting and influencing skills, able to communicate complex ideas and create compelling business cases effectively to senior executives and project teams.
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Occasional travel required.
